Since my last cat litter scoop broke after less than 2 weeks of use I had to write a review on how good this cat litter scoop is. I'm so happy to finally get rid of the cheap and flimsy plastic scoops which not only break with normal use but also tend to spill dirt when flexed when cleaning the bottom of your tray. The handle is comfortable to hold and the scoop itself effortlessly collects even the largest lumps. The only thing I have found in use is that once I get the dustpan I have to hold the dustpan at an angle so the dustpan is almost pointing down to allow dirt to easily pass through the slots. If I hold the scoop in a parallel position, if I have a clump there, excess debris can't just flow back through the center slots on the scoop because there is more free space in that section. But for me I still rate it 5 stars as I only have to tilt it a bit after shoveling so I don't throw loose dirt with my trash. In our family live 3 people and 3 cats. We've all had the chance to use this new dustpan and have all commented that it's the BEST dustpan we've ever used. I know I could buy a cheaper shovel, but for an already frustrating task, this shovel makes the job easier without worrying about the shovel snapping onto you like the cheap plastic shovels. Feel free to reorder if needed, but will last a long time.
