If you're looking for a really good multi-tool at a reasonable price, then you've come to the right place!

Whenever I buy something, I always spend a lot of time researching all the options, pros and cons, etc. before deciding on a particular product. So when it came to buying a multi tool I read endless forums and reviews about how good Leatherman is in general and how good Leatherman Wave is in particular. Pretty sure of my choice, I went online and ordered the Leatherman Wave. Turns out Leatherman products aren't what people make them! I was very disappointed with my wave for various reasons, which I explained in detail in my review. The interesting thing is that I've received a ton of "unhelpful" positive reviews, which is pretty funny considering an "unhelpful" review is one that's either too short, lacks any real information, or is downright biased is. . Which is clearly not the case in my case. So I can only assume that there are many Leatherman fans out there who just don't like it when their favorite product is criticized and childishly clicks "useless". The reason I am telling you this is that it can be difficult to go against the grain when it comes to choosing a product that has a certain very popular brand. But when you see how big the difference between the two multi-tools is, you see that sometimes it really pays to swim against the tide. Almost all of the problems I've had with Leatherman have nothing to do with SOG. The opening is buttery smooth and the pliers don't rub against the handle when you close the multi-tool. The tools in the handles come out VERY easily without having to undo any hacks or screws. The handles have smooth edges, which makes them very comfortable to use. In addition, SOG features a caliper gear system that doubles your power. This can either allow people who don't have a lot of hand strength to use pliers very effectively, or people who already have a lot of hand strength can use wire cutters to cut almost anything that fits in them. I am happy with this SOG and have used it for many things from working on my car to small home repairs. I even removed the cap from the marker so I can pour some rubbing alcohol in and let my wife use it after it's gone. Did I also mention that SOG is actually cheaper than Letterman Wave? You really can't go wrong with this multi-tool. Sure, it's a bit heavy, but that's a price to pay if you want a true multi-tool. If you want something lighter, I would personally suggest looking for Swiss Army knives instead. The great thing about a multi tool is that you have a good pair of pliers (sharp and regular) in your pocket. If you have any questions, let me know, I'm happy to help! And if you found this review helpful, please click 'Yes' below. I've noticed that several reviews I've written about items purchased through Revain have incorrectly removed "Verified Purchase" and are therefore no longer visible, which is likely to happen to other people as well. When reading reviews remember to sort them by "All Reviews" as there is clearly a bug in the system and many helpful and detailed reviews are now hidden.
