I have a Haloview camera system mounted on a 34ft TT (Wildwood by Forest River) bumper. I have a backup camera mounted on the rear roof and two market light/side cameras on the driver and passenger front of the RV. The video in the cab of my GMC Sierra double cab truck looks crystal clear and amazing. However, when I got out on the road with the camper, the signal from the rear view camera appeared and disappeared. Bought two of these antennas. I used the first one on the rear camera. I had to cut a piece of steel plate to attach to the TT's roof (there is nothing magnetic there) and then mount the antenna. I used a rubber gasket to close the panel and keep it watertight. Second, I swapped the antenna on the monitor in the truck and placed the antenna on the cab roof and then tried it on the truck back door and side fender. I had the same signal strength before doing this. I easily got the rear camera and monitor antennas 13-15 feet apart and in my opinion it was a complete failure. I had to check the signal strength before cutting the steel plate and screwing holes in the roof of my TT. Needless to say I am very disappointed, frustrated and a little angry.
