Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm duly impressed!

I bought this primarily to save time and effort inflating my Sea Eagle 330 inflatable kayak no matter how far I was from cars or electrical outlets. I already have a gas generator that can charge a car battery from the cigarette lighter (HT-196A), but I'm worried about being in the middle of nowhere and draining the car battery so it won't start. This HT-420 is exactly what I need. I received and charged this inflator a month ago, but until yesterday I didn't bother to get the kayak out. Again, I used the HT-420 in test mode without charging to ensure it would do what I needed before picking up my Sea Eagle 330 this summer. When I started, three of the four LEDs were on. When I finished inflating the three main chambers of my kayak, two LEDs were still on on the unit. I estimate I can blow up my kayak about 3 times on a full charge, especially if I don't completely deflate it in between, but enough to fold it up and put it back in the trunk of my car. .Also, inflation took less than 7 minutes, although initially I played around and inflated the chamber without using the Sea Eagle 330's one-way valve. So inflation can only take about 5 or 6 minutes from full deflation for everyone. three cameras if I do it right. As other reviewers point out, the HT-420 doesn't pump the chambers to full pressure, but it will definitely get it close enough that it doesn't require much leg effort to top it off. Mechs that come with the kayak. Pros: 1) Any USB source can charge the device (USB cable included), even the power adapter. 2) It inflates my kayak faster than any hand pump I have. 3) It doubles as a USB power bank for charging cell phones and the like. 4) It can also deflate inflatable boats for faster storage. Disadvantages: 1) It has to be held to the inflated object because it has no tube, only nozzles. I consider it almost irrelevant. I'd like to hold it in my hand for a few minutes so I don't pump with the foot pump. 2) It doesn't have enough power to fully inflate some inflatables (but it's close). 3) It takes a long time to charge the pump. I didn't time it after using the pump, but I know it took over an hour to recharge the pump from two LEDs to all four LEDs (full charge) using my AC to USB adapter . I would still happily live with that because for the sake of simplicity I wasn't restricted as to where I could use the inflator. I would happily buy this again. Love it Photos: 1) My Sea Eagle 330 after pumping it up to the pump. 2) Only two LEDs on the HT-420 lit up after pumping the Sea Eagle 330. 3) Three LEDs lit up when I charged the pump with the AC adapter. When all four LEDs stop blinking, it is fully charged. Enjoy!
