Bright. I installed two in my garage and it looks like daylight now. You can direct the light a few degrees in the desired direction. I don't leave them on all the time, just when I'm in the garage, so we'll see how long they hold up. Update 7/7/21: One no longer works. I rarely turn them on so I'm disappointed they didn't last more than a year. The other is still working. I replaced it with a similar lighting panel from Costco. Not as bright but does the job. My plan is to contact the seller and see if the warranty still lasts for a year as I have definitely breached the warranty on the watch.
