Maybe not super pretty, but very durable.

Very happy with this cover. I also bought the last MacBook Pro I had (mid 2012) from the Apple Store and was attracted to get one of those bacon cases. Yes they look good but for me personally they offered little to no protection from falls, spills and just being tossed around by a fairly active student. To be honest - I just threw some crazy loot on a new MBP, and while Apple Care comes in very handy, I might be able to avoid using it by just spending a little more and getting a nice case. I've had it for a few months now and I'm really, really glad I decided to buy it. I don't particularly care about the overall look of the case, but that's just my personal taste. I feel like I'm preparing to work in a distant mountain or something in information technology for the military. But for the protection he offered me, I can definitely handle it. For reference, my MacBook Pro is a 4th Gen (Mid 2016) 13" MacBook Pro - no Touch Bar with 2 Thunderbolt 3 ports and 1 headphone jack, 8GB RAM and a 256 SSD. I'm not at all sure that this fits the touchpad version, so it's definitely a good idea to double-check which one you're planning to order.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • There are other interesting possibilities.
