You will need to keep the small screwdriver that comes with the kit as you have to keep tightening the stand as the screws tend to loosen, but it works. Also, you don't have to be careful when you put your phone on the stand as it can easily tip over and fall off. Other than that, I can use it for its intended purpose, and it's MUCH better than nothing. I would say it's worth the price. If you want something strong, this is not what you need. I have a small phone (Ipone6) and I can't imagine using it with a big phone.
