This is alginate. If you don't know what alginate is, do a little research. This stuff takes some preparation and practice to get right. This is strictly temporary (a couple of hours is good), so immediately after removing the mold, you should have a plaster of paris on hand for casting. Do not stir too vigorously or the mixture will harden too quickly. Too soft and doesn't hold the shape. Two parts water to one part InstaMold worked best for me. I also used cold water to slow down the hardening. I used it to take an impression of my son's hand and forearm for a prosthesis with excellent results.
