Do not do that. for styling devices and accessories

I see you. I know what you're thinking. They are beautiful, they come in a lovely little case and it's great that they have heated clips! Conair has never let you down and is so affordable. What can go wrong? A lot of. A lot will go wrong. First you need to get ready to go out and you probably don't have two hours to devote to your hair. But curling hair has never been such a long process, has it? Well it is now. You usually style them into your hair and keep gathering them - the curlers do all the work for you! But no. With these things you will be afraid to move your head because they will fall out. Clips - these cool heated hairpins! - do not fit curlers. They do not fit! This way the big ones barely stay in the clip and the small ones hang (rather painfully) off the head while the clip slowly slips out with the slightest movement. That means you have to keep adjusting them, and because they take so long to style your hair, if they fall out, you have to reheat them just so you can style your hair properly. You reach for another curler from the suitcase and one falls out of your hair and as you look up to see what just happened on your head you touch the little guide it's heating up and you... scream some foul language and your husband will come in to see what's going on and see your hair in a crooked rat's nest and he'll do something that sighs and hunches his shoulders because he knows you're not ready anytime soon will be. Then when you finally style it on your head, with your own hair clips and maybe invisible clips and a few clips from another curling iron that you accidentally put in your hair to keep it still and you do your makeup like that as fast as possible you can move your head without it at all. You decide to check if it's done. It is not. You perfect smokey eyes from a tutorial you saw on Pinterest. Not finished yet. You organize your makeup alphabetically. At this point, they've already cooled, but your hair isn't styled yet. You gently pull it out anyway, only to find that most of the time your hair is just uncomfortably wavy. Then, to your surprise, you find that one of them has been installed. A curler worked. It's in the back of your mind and it's the hardest thing you've ever seen. And it's time to go. You tie your horrible hair in a ponytail and just cry to yourself because you did a great job with your eyeliner. There's good stuff there. That's not the stuff.

Pros
  • Hair care
Cons
  • No power
