Review on 🌈 Extra Strength Colour B4: Advanced Hair Colour Remover by Sharon Prasad

Definitely works in hair care

My hair background is a natural medium ash brown. 6 months ago I had highlights, mostly natural at the roots, which lightened to almost blonde at the buttocks. About 4 months ago I decided to go all dark brown with bangs and I loved it. I was tired of paying $140 for a haircut so about a month ago I bought: L'Oreal Paris Excellence Creme, 4A Dark Ash Brown. This made my hair look too dark, almost black, and unfortunately I missed some areas. My hair is just above my chest (very long considering I'm almost 6ft tall) and my hair is thick too. I thought I had already settled on dark hair, so I bought another box to fill in the spots I had missed. When my hair became dull (when using a deep cleansing shampoo) I noticed that the ends looked too dark. My boyfriend didn't notice, but I could tell when my hair was straight. So I decided that I was tired of looking at the dark ends and I wanted to try a color remover. (because my hair wasn't quite right yet -_-) I followed the instructions exactly, except for an extra random skin check. I didn't do this because my skin is generally not sensitive to products and I didn't want a drop of this product to stay on my skin for 24 hours like the directions suggest. However, I did a hair strip test. I took an area of about an inch square at the bottom of the hairline and applied a pea-sized amount. I waited 60 minutes and then flushed for five minutes. The amount of lift in my hair was barely noticeable, but I was fine with it because I didn't want a drastic change. So I divided my hair into 6 sections (because my hair is thick) and applied the product section by section. , combing on the go with a plastic comb. I was able to completely saturate my hair with just one bottle. According to the instructions I needed two, but one was enough. It seemed like a lot, but I went ahead and used it all because I didn't want to be a streak. I combed my hair a lot until all tangles were gone. Once I felt that I was satisfied with the hair's saturation, I decided to try using plastic wrap to press the hair to the scalp as the instructions recommend. I've never done this before, but it was very easy. I curled my hair, styled it on my head, balanced it, and then wrapped it in plastic a few times to keep everything in place. The instructions also said it wouldn't work in the cold. since it's snowing now, it's colder than usual in my apartment, so i put my hat over the plastic hat. Kind. I waited an hour and went back to the bathroom to start the rinsing phase. My first impression after removing the plastic cover was "Wow, good". They looked so light it alarmed me. I rinsed my hair in hot water for ten minutes, pulling it over my shoulder to check every few minutes. My hair seemed to get darker as I rinsed it out, so the initial shock wore off pretty quickly. I added the end product (pH equalizer), rinsed for five minutes, restored the pH and rinsed. and my hair was pretty dry. I felt about as dry as I did after using a cleansing shampoo. so i beat myself up cause i couldn't do it. I also used a spray conditioner after gently towel drying to detangle my hair. I nervously blow-dried my bangs to check the color and was pleasantly surprised. This is definitely not my natural light ash brown, it's warmer but very pretty. I think my hair is getting a little darker which is normal, I'm just glad my hair is still the same color. Looks a lot more natural. Needless to say, this product is perfect for me. Finally, I will comment on the smell. I was expecting the worst smell in the world based on the reviews and I won't lie that it's bad. My friend thought it smelled like eggs. It smells bad when applied and when wet when rinsing. but now that I've blow dried my hair I can't smell it. My hair doesn't usually take on odors though. It annoys me that shampoo and conditioner smells quickly fade from my hair, but maybe that's a good thing. UPDATE: It's been a few days, I washed my hair once with a clarifying shampoo and my hair has gotten darker. It's not as dark as it used to be, just a few shades. I'm glad it worked well for my hair, but it was originally a little browner than my natural color. Now my hair is closer to my natural shade.
