We have a small dog who guards our garden by making our mailbox inaccessible. We added this mailbox behind the fence to give our postman some relief from the tiny danger of barking. It took me longer to find my tools than to install this mailbox. I sincerely think a middle school student or younger student can install it, it's that simple. The smooth front allowed me to add big sticky vinyl numbers, and the tapered lid design keeps rain out. (There are drainage holes at the bottom in case water gets in.) I highly recommend this mailbox. You can't go wrong.
