Works great with my Sennheiser headphones. The 1/4" plug fits snugly into the adapter and I haven't noticed any noise. BTW I find it funny that both ends of the adapter say DIGITAL, even though most people will use it for analog audio. UPDATE: The 3, 5 connector is a bit loose and rarely disconnects or gets static. The 1/4" socket is still tight and tight. UPDATE 2: The 3.5mm connector is now even looser, a nuisance with my laptops that use plastic connectors, but my USB-C adapter (specifically the DAC that came with the Essential phone) always holds it still tight (almost definitely because the DAC has a tighter connector, not because of this cable) UPDATE 3: After some decent use it turned out that the coating on the 3.5mm end had worn off and was having trouble connecting to the right channel of the speaker, and 1/ The 4 inch jack also has some connectivity issues, although I've held the end of my HD595 a lot. tighter than any other 1/4" connector I've used. Considering the Sennheiser adapter (AS IN: B00L2SZFYU) is only $5 more expensive and probably won't wear out anytime soon, I would recommend him instead UPDATE 4: Just get a Sennheiser instead, it will hold up much better.
