Beautiful stainless steel that goes well with any paint color. I'm a minimalist, no mods on my 2017 White Doge Challenger R/T Blacktop. This item is a must-have not only for its looks, but also as protection against scratches on the inside of the door sill panel. I have seen other reports of difficulties with heavy duty 3M tape. I have obsessive-compulsive disorder. So, to get a perfect and accurate measurement with the least amount of fuss, I recommend the following: 1) Use masking tape on the windowsill and plastic trim of the car to center the rocker panel as instructed. Page size may vary but I wanted it to be closer to the outside edge as it will match the OEM/product image. 2) Center your lines and snip off a tiny strip of 3m tape - the top end should be longer than the short end to create open "tails". Place the corner towards the edge you want to start on and lay flat. Then pull the tail at the other end and then at the shortest end. Treat the plates with some Brasso metal cleaner, wipe completely to protect and you're done. I wish the directions were better but you won't be disappointed!
