No, no, no for art and painting supplies

Your money is better spent on another pen. The ink is thin, inconsistent, and too light to be considered black (dubbed "ash black" but looks more like old ink than intentionally colored ash). The brush is made of hair, not felt, but this does not help the ink to be applied evenly. Even shaking the pen doesn't help, because the ink in the brush runs out after 2-3 strokes. Not worth missing anymore.
