I installed this amp in a homemade boombox based on Paul Carmody's Sprite design. I currently have a 12V 3Ah SLA battery powering the amp, but I plan to replace the battery with a USB-C PD power bank soon. Because the amp can handle a wide range of input voltages, you can easily power it from any USB-C PD power supply by using the USB-C PD Sink/Decoy/Trigger Adapter, which has a USB-C connection in converts to a DC connection. . I plan to power it via USB-C PD 20v. I love that the amp has Spotify built in and can be used as a Spotify Connect speaker, which should be the most energy efficient way to stream music over WiFi. That being said, it also works well over airplay. I haven't tested DLNA much as I don't really use it, but I have confirmed that it at least works. Of course there is always Bluetooth. Some really cool features: - Allows you to customize Bluetooth name and WiFi SSID. It's such a cool feature that I haven't seen anywhere else. If you're using it somewhere without Wi-Fi but still want Wi-Fi streaming, you can use your phone as a hotspot and hook up an amp to it, and then use Spotify Connect. You can also connect your phone directly to the amplifier's built-in Wi-Fi hotspot (obviously then you won't have an internet connection, but if you already have music stored on your phone it doesn't really matter). -- Accessories - They make a bunch of cool accessories that you can use to add functionality. 1) Button bar so you can set external control buttons for play/pause/previous/next/volume/volume+/mode. The keypad also has a built in IR receiver which can come in handy if you have the amp installed somewhere out of sight. You can also connect an external IR receiver to this keypad to control it with the remote control, even if you have placed the amplifier and the keypad out of sight. 2) A higher quality DAC board that can be connected (the built-in one is enough for me); 3) SPDIF input card; 4) SPDIF output card; 5) volume control board; 6) External Bluetooth and Wi-Fi antennas that you can use if you want to increase the range (I currently have the amp installed in the boombox without external antennas and the range for Wi-Fi is adequate, but Bluetooth can its a little bit better so i plan to install external antennas soon). Only 2 complaints so far - 1) Sometimes if you leave it in Bluetooth mode and it's not connected for some time, it seems to switch to Wi-Fi mode by itself. You then have to use the 4Stream app or IR remote to put it back into Bluetooth mode, which is a hassle. 2) I also have an earlier version of this amp and wanted to connect an external Bluetooth antenna, when I tried to unplug the stock antenna the connector came loose from the board - Up2Stream sent a replacement board so no big deal but be great Be careful if you try to disconnect the Bluetooth or Wi-Fi antennas for any reason.
