Set up was easy. I was determined to buy an Audessey (my other Onkyo has it) and I was on the verge of deciding between this and a Denon. The NR595 has more features that I need and will use. The sound is great. Audessey is replaced with Onkyo's dynamic gain, which I worried about. This was my first auto calibration experience, I wasn't impressed. I used my own settings. I don't know how the calibration led to these numbers, but they seemed wrong. IDK. While the NR595 sounds a lot better than the old one, there are similarities. I'm in the process of introducing Polk Redner, but I like what I have. Polk CS10 Center, PSW 10 Sub, Polk T15 on request. I'm using a pair of speakers from an old Onkyo system as overhead speakers. Atmos works great, I'm very satisfied.
