Consider the range of your TV

User manual Page 38: If your TV supports ARC (Audio Return Channel) (*), only use an HDMI cable to connect to your TV. Use the ARC-compatible HDMI IN jack on the TV to connect. I bought a digital audio cable because my TV does NOT support ARC. My previous Onkyo receiver was a TX-904 which I bought in 1990. This new receiver is still pretty good. Download the user manual. It does not come with a printed copy. Also, connect Wi-Fi to your device to allow the device to update its firmware. The…

Great value for money: Home cinema

Set up was easy. I was determined to buy an Audessey (my other Onkyo has it) and I was on the verge of deciding between this and a Denon. The NR595 has more features that I need and will use. The sound is great. Audessey is replaced with Onkyo's dynamic gain, which I worried about. This was my first auto calibration experience, I wasn't impressed. I used my own settings. I don't know how the calibration led to these numbers, but they seemed wrong. IDK. While the NR595 sounds a lot better than…

Defective item - no Revain & Onyo support

I only bought this item a few months ago. Everything was fine for 2 months, but now suddenly there is no VIDEO signal from the AV receiver. I tried all the troubleshooting steps online and verified if the issue is with the HDMI or the projector. After all research confirmed that the problem was with my OnKYO AVR. I contacted AMAZON support but they took some very simple troubleshooting steps but immediately gave up. Then they sent me to ONKYO, but that didn't help either. I paid almost $561 all

amazing system, good price, easy installation

Gone are the days of having to connect multiple speaker cables to the back of a stereo receiver and enjoy stereo sound from music and TV shows/movies. Receivers are now the brains of your entire home theater system and this Onkyo is a great addition to me. An HDMI cable from each device - Apple TV, satellite DVR, DVD, etc. - plugs into the back of the receiver, and a "main" HDMI cable runs from the receiver to the TV, and your new system is just geek joined squad. It's Onkyo that made all my…
