I didn't realize until I received this that the entire thing folds up flat into the lid- I doubt I'll ever fold it back up, but it's nice to have the option. I love this ottoman- the small insert that velcros in on the top is a bit flimsy, but the rest of it is well made, I'm a hefty lady and can plop down on this with no worries of collapse. I wouldn't buy this as a regular seating option- it's not the cushiest to sit on, but it's perfect for extra storage and to kick your feet up on. It's also stable enough to set a glass of water or a plate of food on, which is nice. For size comparison, if I set this in front of my loveseat, it's about the same length. If you're considering buying this, just do it, you won't regret it.
