First off, you can't beat this $14 model! Don't even try to argue. The line is heavy, but this can be a disadvantage for some due to the high tension of the reel. A 4 foot cord is certainly long enough, especially since most others only have 3 feet. I had no problem stretching with my left hand while holding the camera to my face and I'm 6ft 3in tall. The brackets are plastic and while I would have preferred something heavier, it actually looks and feels pretty solid. , I doubt this will be a problem. Right out of the box it worked with my camera and flash. The only downside for me to using a lightning cord instead of a remote transmitter is the need to be careful not to get the cord tangled in it. Kind of shooting But 100-200 dollars less than the transmitter, I can get used to that!
