The curved faces of the scissors are well matched, the fulcrum is strong.

The curved surfaces of the scissor blades fit snugly together for a good cut. This is due to the precision of metalworking of curved surfaces and the pressure generated by the screw of the axis of rotation. The Revelon cuticle scissors I've had in the past aren't that good to begin with. Over time, the Revelon cuticle scissors will loosen at the pivot point and the two curved cutting surfaces will not cut properly. After tightening a Revelon screw a few times, the screw can fail and you're left with scissors that can only cut a small spot along the blades. Time will tell if the S-Swards hold together better. I have big hands and wish the scissor finger loops were bigger and more comfortable.
