When I first received this duvet and opened the packaging I was delighted. No way is there a ceiling. I ripped off the plastic wrap and BOOM the blanket. Warning, this duvet absolutely stinks when you first open it. It took 2 runs through the washer and 2 dryers to get some of the smell out. When I put it on the bed I could still smell it, after a night with the fan pointed at it the smell was gone. It also caused an allergy attack due to what was causing the smell. The blanket is very fluffy, almost fluffy at the beginning. Some parts of it were damaged and sticking out where other parts were flat and without filling. After a few nights of use, the filling started to move more and everything was smooth. The pattern is excellent, same on both sides. Pillowcases are the kind you put the pillow in and a couple of flaps keep it inside, unlike other pillowcases that just slide open and after a while your pillow starts to pop out. The material is very soft, I find myself running my hand through it. over it and squeeze it between your fingers. The size seems good, it's a bit short but it will look nice with a gray skirt. I paired it with a dark purple set of sheets and together they look phenomenal. So finally: First smelly, then lumpy, then soft and fluffy. Definitely good for the price.
