These are great quality padded hangers, worth a few extra dollars. Size is a full 16" wide; padding is thick and firm; fabric is non slip; metal hanger is long enough for a high neckline to stand on its own; constructed with one solid piece from end to end; and best of all--no funky odor. Attached photo compares a replaced generic padded hanger. My sweater size is XL (size 14-16) and photo shows the 16" easily supports shoulder-to-shoulder form. These work great for heavy coats with a high collar and my husband's military dress uniforms (which are heavy and wooden hangers made shoulder dents). Now buying my forth set for all our jackets, not that I am OCD and like everything hanging in order and evenly leveled, but it does make my closet look pretty cool.
