Superb cat door - don't listen to negative reviews. I've had the same door for 9 years now and it still works great! I bought this because we just had 3 kittens and needed to separate older cats in a separate area. (Because of the bad reviews on this door, I first bought a similar battery powered magnetic cat door - big mistake! The door would not close fully if one of the cats came out too slowly, thus leaving it in position for the other animal (wild cat, raccoon, possum, skunk, etc.) to open it If you install this door correctly and keep the collar on your cat (with magnetic element) it works great for cats to use it and even the dumbest seem to get it.
