I bought this because the key ring on my old key fob fell off. I watched a youtube video on how to change the battery and install the old chip. I didn't want to try to move the transponder (looks like that spare part was the tricky part) so I left the top half of my old key fob intact and was able to mount it onto the bottom half of this new case. !
