I took this chair to the beach for the first time yesterday and I love how light and easy it is to carry. There is a steep, bumpy path leading down to the beach, so my mobility was a top priority. I returned the larger chair that I had previously ordered because it was too big and too heavy. It's pretty handy because it's the kind of chair you hang from, like in a hammock. But next time I'll bring a towel or something to make it a little more comfortable, especially when your feet are resting on the bar behind your knees. But as there is always a trade-off between weight/size and comfort, I accept the fact that this chair is not intended as a lounge chair. It's well made, reasonably comfortable, and very easy to carry on a rocky trail for about 1/4 mile.
