Review on Fitbit Inspire HR Heart Rate and Fitness Tracker with S and L Bands – One Size, 1 Count by Ruth Ward

Huge problem registering steps when driving

Extremely inaccurate :( It counted more than 2 thousand steps in an hour and a half on the road (I was driving) and on the first day on set up it counted 10 steps and I have it never even worn it just sat on the charger i had some trouble putting it down on the charger because the cord is so short it's ridiculous and the magnet is weak i think the roughness of this process was to register the steps..there is a workaround to get rid of incorrect steps recorded while riding, but you have to do this every time after a ride and that's just a ridiculous problem for this product. There are apps that can tell when a person drives, and so Fitbit should apply this technology to its entire line of trackers. It used to be Drivebit, a third-party app built specifically with the Fitbi t app was paired to solve a long-standing problem logged steps while driving but doesn't seem to be available at the moment. Since people have been asking Fitbit to fix this for over five years with no solution, and the official Fitbit forum moderators have marked the issue as "solved" every time a user asked about it, I doubt it'll be in place any time soon will be fixed with an update . I have to ask myself whether I can live with that for the price of €100. I am very disappointed with this product, mainly because there is no way to prevent inaccurate steps by pausing. I'm only giving it three stars because the heart rate feature works well and the sleep tracker is pretty cool. I will be using it for a few more days to decide if I want to send it back or keep it. It's so hard for me to pay for something that doesn't fully serve its purpose. The worst thing is that it's such a nice little life changing device but unfortunately it's buggy and I don't know if I can trust the data.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Boring packaging
