Review on 👟 Scarpa Vapor Women's Climbing Shoe by Jamie Behm

This is my first pair of moderately aggressive boots since my Scarpa Origins. I had the choice between Vapors and LaSportiva Miura VS and I feel like I made the right choice. I have very small feet and exceptionally small heels and my Origins have always slipped when caught in the heel. Also, I could never pull them tight enough with velcro straps and the straps started falling apart because I was pulling to tighten them. All that has changed with my new Vapors! They are amazing 😍 I've had them for a few months now and I feel like I can trust my feet a lot more. The rubber sticks very strongly to the plate. My confidence in her skyrocketed! I tried the velcro version on REI but wanted to be able to tighten them at the ankle to hold my heels. The only issue I have is that they have a smaller toe size than the velcro version. I ordered the same size as my Origins and the Velcro Vapors I've tried on and they're a bit snug. It's been a few months of constant climbing and they haven't stretched much either, so the pause time is pretty long if you buy them tight. Anyway, I'd rather have them fit too tight than too loose, so I'm not complaining, but this is a warning. Overall I wouldn't trade them for any other shoe. I think it really influenced my climbing a lot. And while they take longer to put on and take off due to the laces, I prefer the adjustability to Velcro closures.
