This shoe is ideal for children with fine motor skills. Although the velcro was a little difficult to open, my 4 year old daughter was able to open it after a workout. They're also great for kids with wide feet if you order a larger size. My daughter liked the color but be aware that pastels tend to get more dirt out. That would be my only criticism that they got dirty very quickly.
