Review on ๐ŸŒพ Tumbleweed Tumblers by Matt Kucrud

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nice mix of entries.

Did I mention I love Reader's Digest collections? If not, I will now. Typically this ranges from Jimmie Rogers to Bing Crosby and everything in between. There are songs about trains, songs about gunfights, songs about tumbleweeds, TV westerns, and so on. The sound quality on this set is excellent, except for one thing: mono recordings are processed in stereo. I understand this was the norm for the time, but the original mono recordings would have been much better. That's actually why I only gave 4 stars. If you love roots music or just old music in general then this is a must see if you can find it cheap enough. There really are some underrated gems here.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Very expensive
