THIS MATTRESS SAVES MY BED!

THIS MATTRESS HAS SAVED MY BED! This is a waterproof plastic film. Yes, it is absolutely waterproof! My cat has helped me check this several times. For those of you who have a pet who rushes to the mattress when they are feeling sick, throwing up, etc - this mattress pad is for you! I was so glad when my cat recently got sick - not that she was sick - more specifically, when I came home from work to find puddles of urine, vomit and diarrhea on the plastic container - all easily wiped off with a paper towel. .. it was all so wonderful and easy! Because it's impermeable, liquid can run down the sides, so put something absorbent on top. I recommend either a towel or a mattress topper. how fat is he The thickness of the plastic is 8 mils (for comparison, a "heavy duty" garbage bag is about 1 mil thick and a regular bed sheet is 12 mils. (I measured all of this with a micrometer in several places across the sheet; it was the same ).Thickness near the zippers.)How strong is it? I put a weight on it and it held over 50lbs (20kg) with no problem. It eventually broke when I put it on the door and tried to pull. It tore along the Zipper stitching, so the stitching is a weak point. However, you have to use VERY strong pressure to rip it apart. Two months later, after a series of powerful kicks, the cat was gone a hole of a layer. I say ONE layer because I just lay the cover on my bed (giving me twice the thickness of the plastic and two separate barriers to intrusion). This cover is meant to cover the mattress but I don't see the need for it (unless you have bed bugs) as you can avoid any issues with seams, zippers etc just by placing it over the mattress. How convenient is it? Okay, it's a plastic wrap. I don't think you buy this for convenience. At the same time, I lay down directly on the plastic and fell asleep without any problems. The plastic didn't wake me up. Maybe put some linen sheets on top? It also helps with air circulation if you are a sweaty person. There are MANY "comfortable" rubberized or treated fabrics, "waterproof" sheets that are really just "water repellent," meaning liquids will pass through them. mattress if you cannot reach it within a few minutes. Don't waste your money on this garbage. In summary, it cost me about $20 - let's be realistic. This is a plastic sheet, not a Kevlar body armor. If it gets damaged, you can buy another one. To be honest I'm not even sure I want a pee proof case to pass down to the next generation. However, it is truly waterproof and protects your mattress from damage!
