What annoys me the most is that there are no instructions. I am very lucky that I have a father who is probably a genius and understood that. Or maybe I'm just behind the times and don't know what the latest fad in 5D diamond painting is and that shouldn't be a problem. Who knows. It comes with a dot tool and you have to press it into the kind of sticky jelly square that comes with the kit, which looks like something you could just throw in because it seems alien for this type of project. For some reason I was expecting some kind of glue. A small amount of chewing gum caught on the tip of the dotting tool will grab the diamonds by their convex side, allowing you to place them flat side down on the sticky surface of the painting itself. U may need to refill/refill that sticky bit from time to time. I love it so far. Very relaxing/satiating. I got this for a friend who is absolutely obsessed with pictures of the last supper, as a kind of joke. She won't expect anything like that. I'm preparing this for her, as medically she won't be able to do it very effectively on her own. I wouldn't recommend anyone who is remotely visually impaired or older give it unless they have some sort of gem lens. A magnifying glass might work, but you need two hands to do this (to hold the canvas or diamond tray, and one to place the diamonds), so the magnifying glass needs to be entered with a third hand, lol. Some colors and numbers are very difficult to see, others are very similar. There is a reddish-orange color very similar to replicas. I think number three and four. A bit disappointed because that color variation would be nice considering how much of it is on the canvas. All in all it's a really cool concept and Will will end up being quite majestic. If you are religious this would be great for a church camp as a gift for someone who loves meticulous crafts. However, the packaging is pretty crappy for a gift. It came in a very slim postal envelope that looked like two candlesticks and the entire canvas was rolled up with everything inside. So it's kind of uneven, wrinkled. And like I said, there are no instructions included. It would also be nice if the diamond bags were resealable. It's the kind of plastic packaging that just isn't all forgiving. Preferred but never tears in the right place and quite bulky. You will have perks from all diamonds (I hope I had).
