I have never spent this much on an entrance mat, but I had a specific size in mind, so I got this one. I was expecting a more durable, mat material. This is a very soft material. Like, when you step on it, it’s unexpected and feels sort of padded. That "should I not step on this in shoes?” feeling. I am going to guess this winter it will hold snowballs from my boots and have a long dry time. I got black so it would stand out as little as possible on my dark wood floor, but it looks dark gray.Update (11/23): Man, do I hate this rug. Leaves get stuck to it. I can’t shake them off. I can’t VACUUM IT. It immediately shuts down my vacuum brush. Since it’s light weight it is constantly crooked and slipping over the air vent by it. I curse this purchase ever time I clean.
