Small yes. Free your hands to make it feel like a [small] adult size. The instructions are typical, simple but basic enough if you've ever assembled an office chair. The base was "dirty" as if it had been used before, although no wear was noted. Comfortable, not great. Buy for a child, not an adult. If I hadn't been too lazy to disassemble the part and worry about returning it I would have sent it back. On a positive note, the color is very nice and vibrant as shown here.
