WILL KILL YOUR FISH! This Aquaclear filter charcoal is different than the one that came with the filter I bought from PetSmart. The outside looks more like mesh than fabric. The one on the right in the picture of the old one. I thought I could trust this product based on the reviews and because it comes in official Aquaclear product packaging. I was wrong. Ever since I put it in and let the old one work in the filter at the same time, everything has been fine. After a few weeks I removed the old charcoal and left it, after which the fish started dying, 6 in total. They are fine today, dead the next day. This is after months without incident/death. I wish I had seen a review of this carbon where the guy had his in a cup and the carbon was all over his hands. It's a bit questionable when reviews of different products get mixed up. You need to look for reviews of carbon products. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.
