I thought our 1 year old daughter wouldn't like wearing shoes but she thought it was fun! More of a help than a hindrance to our budding walker, she's the best time outdoors. A thin rubber outsole protects her feet so she can feel the ground and keep her balance. They also look very cute! We used the StrideRite sizing system, printed out a size chart, and measured her feet using her template. It ended up being a size 6 XW. I think we got the right size on the first try and I was happy to find a shoe that was the right width for her feet.
