Some people will tell you that all HDMI cables are the same. You would be wrong. While I agree that there's no reason to spend $60 or more on ultra-premium cables, there is a difference in quality and performance that you'll find in the reasonable and modest price zone. I think when I bought it it was about a dollar more expensive than Amazon cables and I would say I got a dollar more performance from it. There is a misconception that if you can pump a digital signal down a cable at all, the integrity of your signal is preserved and therefore there is no difference in transmission quality. That is not right. I've had a great experience with Amazon cables, but I've also had a rare and bizarre behavior where I had to plug something in twice or wasn't able to display the 60Hz video properly. When I switched to them, these problems went away. I probably have a serious EMI leak in my house, maybe my neighbor's microwave is on the brink of death, but there's a case for adequate cable shielding. This cable worked better than others and for the extra money I'll take this one.
