I'm finally getting around to writing a review but after giving this thing another try I have to post my experience so that others can make a decision for themselves. I wanted something for waist training that was also comfortable to be worn during exercise/light activity and this looked perfect based on all the 5 star reviews I saw. BUT, after receiving the product I am convinced the majority of those reviews are not that honest, as the company sends a card promising a free product from their store in exchange for a 5-star review (isn't bribery against the rules?). I was a little off-put by that but decided to give it a try anyway, as I was super excited to find a steel-boned corset on a budget. The fabric feels like and stretchy, which is a huge plus but I have concerns with the amount of boning. There is literally only two pieces of boning that are located in the back, and after some investigation I discovered the boning is indeed metal which is a plus but it doesn't make up for the fact that there are only 2 and that they bend so easily there is absolutely no support so they are totally useless in my opinion. I am 150lbs, 5'4" hourglass figure and bought a large and it was so big I could easily latch the hooks to the smallest setting with barely a change to my waist. Furthermore, when I bend over or sit down the trainer rolls up like nobody's business and pooches out in undesireable places so I am too embarrassed to wear out in public because it is so obvious something is underneath my clothing. On the positive, I do like the hook/clasp closure and zipper front, the feel of the fabric, and the adjustable shoulder straps but overall this was one big waste of money because it is absolutely useless since it does not change or enhance the size of my waist. That is why one buys a waist trainer, so this was a major let down. I should know you get what you pay for but I have been surprised in the past so thought it worth a shot. If you are looking for a legit waist trainer with more than 2 steel bones that is actually functional this is definitely not it but if you just want a light compression garment for the gym or postpartum support then maybe it is worth it but only if you go down 1 size.
