The slits for the thread hold the thread ends well and firmly. Dental floss won't come off.
DMC plastic spools are the best! Small slits to hold the thread ends, nice and narrow so the thread doesn't fall out. Fake stamps are not very good because their thread slots are too big. I made the mistake of purchasing their package and was very disappointed. So I bought six packs of DMC rolls. You are perfect. You get what you pay for.
