not what it used to be

I paid a little more for DMC (and waited longer for them) because I wanted them to have a narrower slot - THEY DON'T. They also have the embossed DMC logo, which is totally unnecessary. One of the "features" is "transparency" which means really thin plastic. I would take the cheaper ones.

Pros
  • spools
Cons
  • I don't remember

DMC plastic spools are the best! Small slits to hold the thread ends, nice and narrow so the thread doesn't fall out. Fake stamps are not very good because their thread slots are too big. I made the mistake of purchasing their package and was very disappointed. So I bought six packs of DMC rolls. You are perfect. You get what you pay for.

Pros
  • crafts and sewing
Cons
  • unreliable

An essential item for cross stitcher

I usually buy these bobbins at the store but I was able to buy them cheaper than locally. If you're a cross stapler and you're looking for an easy way to safely store and organize your floss, this is for you. I've tried paper spools which are cheaper but they flex and wear down/soften like used paper products. I use a marker to write the thread number on it and since it's plastic you can quickly wet and erase it before it dries to re-write the number if you make a mistake.

Pros
  • Sewing supplies and consumables
Cons
  • No productivity
