AnyTone speaker microphone for AT-D868

Bought external speaker microphone for my Anytone AT-D868 portable radio. The microphone and PTT button work well, but the sound from the speaker is almost inaudible even with the radio volume turned all the way up. I've tried several times to reconnect to the radio but to no avail. The remote speaker volume is too low to be of practical use. Wound not to buy again.
