The hat is slightly lighter than the advertised image. That doesn't detract from the look, because the hat seems to be a very nice color combination. It's definitely not "loud". Its contour appears to remain the same after processing and use. I didn't try to crumble the whole hat, just the tip. The top quickly got back into shape. I wouldn't bend the brim too long, although it's possible to compress it, but that's fine. My size is between medium and large so for most hats including this one I order medium and in most cases I trim the brim. Sweatband that lets them sit perfectly. The headband on this particular hat was fine but made of threads which took a few minutes to remove all of them after trimming. Overall I'm very happy with the hat and will definitely buy another one when it comes in black. .
