I was surprised at the small box these came in! Inside they were in a little clear plastic orb with a lid.I’ve tried a lot of bright colorful hair extension pieces that were synthetic hair, but never gotten human hair. I have gotten a lot of human hair wigs and extensions - just not in bright, colorful colors. So, I was excited to see human hair extension pieces that came in such bright, fun colors! I got "Purple” because I think the color looks good with my medium to dark brown hair.The "Purple” looks like the product photos showed.The hair is nice quality. It is 100% human hair. I saw one person said in their review that they aren’t real human hair, they’re YAK hair and if you flat iron them they’ll adhere to your hair. I was surprised the reviewer was told they were made of YAK hair. Yak hairs are long, bushy, shaggy, and thick. Since they have so much of it, it’s a cost effective option. BUT, the texture is rough and has a kind of kink to it. This hair is soft and smooth and the strands are thin. Yes, they can treat the hair and put things on the hair to make it look and feel soft, smooth, and straight. But, once you wash the hair a few times the true hair usually shows. I’ve gotten hair before that seemed like great quality and then I washed it once or a few times and all of a sudden it was horrible quality. This hair I washed when it first arrived and have washed it many times since and haven’t had any issues with it. It still stays soft, smooth, and straight.I have also flat ironed and curled mine at high heat and they didn’t melt at all like fake hair does. I also did a burn test on some strands and they burned like human hair should. So, I’m satisfied that mine are 100% human hair.You only get 6 pieces and they are kind of thin. The product info didn’t give the weight of each piece, which is odd for hair extensions. Usually the product info will include the weight in grams per piece or at least for the total of all the pieces. Id say these are about 1 gram a piece. With 6 strands, there’s enough to place them strategically throughout your hair to have some color all around your head, but I feel like to have it look more seamless and natural (natural like you actually have highlights of that color throughout your hair), you’d want at least 1 more set, depending how thin/thick your hair is.I have pretty flat, thin hair. When I use clip ins, I usually only like PU clip ins that are flatter and easier to blend onto my thin, flat hair. These are standard clips, not PU clips, BUT the hair in them is placed in a way that it’s completely even with the clip. There’s not a bulge at the clip. That really helps blend them naturally. I also find if I curl my hair, it’s easier to blend them in than if I just wear my hair straight.Being human hair they’re so much easier to work with and blend into my hair than the synthetic pieces I’ve used in the past. Synthetic ones always get tangled up. With synthetic pieces, I will comb them through and untangle them then barely move them and they’re all tangled again! Not with these! These are so much better to work with!Overall, I think these are great quality human hair. They are well made. The hair is attached firmly to the clips. There aren’t a bunch of shorter hairs at the clip end. The clips are strong and stay in the hair well, even my thin hair! The color is accurate to the product photos. I’ll definitely be getting another setting in the purple color and probably try some other colors out too! I definitely recommend!
