I've used many variants of Mechanix gloves in the past and they have a solid reputation in my book. Currently my favorite Mechanis gloves are the FastFit Covert, which are half the price of these gloves (at Revain). However, these gloves have become like silk gloves with little use. What if you're trying to use them for microtactile sensations and holding objects, that's no benefit. The photos of this glove and other tactical gloves in this class on the website use a leather-like material that retains wet/dry grip. These gloves use a fabric that frays with use, creating a silky layer of fabric on the palms and fingers. Look closely at the palms and you will see what I mean (attached photos). first) Now for the cons: after minimal use for 2-3 hours they lose all grip. I couldn't even hold onto my Nalgene bottle. The palm and fingers become silky smooth, it is impossible to grab anything.
