Review on Wireless Bluetooth Qualcomm Cancellation Headphones by Jason Peterson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Surprisingly solid budget headphones with AptX support

I wasn't expecting much from these headphones when I ordered them. True wireless headphones for under $20 from an obscure Chinese brand that I've seen very mixed reviews about? However, I was curious enough to review them, especially at this price point, as they're advertised with the QCC3046 Bluetooth chip and I've had good experiences with other, more expensive headphones that used the QCC3040 series chips. I'm glad I gave them a try because honestly these headphones sound just as good as some of the headphones I've bought for double the price. I was expecting the sound quality to be tinny or muffled given what I've experienced a lot at this price point and what I've seen in reviews of previous versions of these headphones - but no, the soundstage is really well balanced, with solid bass, high and medium frequencies. In terms of connectivity, it's exactly what I'm used to from other QCC3040-based headphones I've used: AptX support, Bluetooth 5.2, and a pairing entry that works with both headphones in stereo or one of the headphones in mono is working. Surprisingly, for the price, they even offer a low-latency gaming mode activated by pressing either earbud for a second, a feature I've missed on pricier earbuds that use the same Bluetooth chip. The claimed 7 hour battery life seems accurate even from my own testing. However, compromises have to be made to get this price. The only battery indicator on the case is a single indicator that determines whether the case or the headphones are charging; It is impossible to say how much electricity is left. And while it's possible to activate Siri or Google Assistant using touch controls, there's no way to adjust the volume on the earbuds themselves, only on the connected device.
