Review on 🌡️ Aluminum Heatsink Cooler with Silicone Thermal for Efficient Heat Dissipation by David Pirlet

I bought this for a 1TB Samsung m.2 drive which got a little warm. Wow, that made a huge difference when the drive was under load. I wasn't expecting much from this fanless heat spreader. It comes with two silicone thermal pads for the top and bottom of the chip. They stretch slightly and I had to trim them down a bit so they don't get in the way of the interface or screw mounting slot. The heatsink piece is beefy, fits snugly, and has about a millimeter of height adjustment for installation. Once installed, I'd run a few games for an hour and usually got a very hearty read from the Samsung magician. Now with this heatspreader it stays at normal levels. For just under $10 I didn't have high hopes of success, but it works. This also happened after I didn't have much success with thermally cooling my drive, installing an extra exhaust fan, etc. I'd say I'm curious to see how the fan heat spreader would change, but for now this little piece of aluminum does it's just what you need. I didn't exceed the normal operating temperature and quickly cooled down to a low standby temperature. Adhesion to the silicone pad isn't great, but it shouldn't be either. I'm taking off a star because I had scratches on the side that looked like it was a returned item and had been used. New paid, new expected.
