Be careful. This food, Nutro Fish and Potato Canned Dog Food, contains large bone fragments, up to 1/2 inch in size. See photo. This photo shows just some of the bone splinters from less than three cans of food. I bought 6 boxes at the beginning of winter 2019. There are bone fragments in every jar in every box. Now I have to use a very fine sieve to grate the food to get rid of the bones. The question remains: why can't Nutro do the same? Is it safe for a dog of any size to eat that many bone fragments? The bones cannot be crushed with fingers as they are very hard. Due to the sticky texture of food, bone fragments are not visually visible. You have to press your finger on the shell to feel the bones hidden inside. Will Nutro do the right thing and recall and revise its products?
