Bought these for my 5 year old and the first day he put them on was a warm day in the snow on ice. Since it was warm the snow melted and formed slush (nothing serious. Maybe an inch of slush on ice. But within 45 minutes my son's feet were WET. I had to pour the water out of the boots. So I put the boots in twice put them in the dryer. "They still haven't dried after 48 hours. I have to throw them out. I'm assuming the fabric above the ankles is NOT waterproof. Don't use these to play snow or they'll get wet inside." "
