The good thing: I bought this camera to use in environments where moisture and dirt can interfere with your camera gear. I've used it in the pool and on rainy days, took it camping and dropped it with no damage. Takes great pictures and 720p videos. It has many beautiful shooting modes including 'Happy' which delivers richer colors without being over the top. It takes photos with different aspect ratios, from 16:9 to 1:1. Sometimes I liked taking square pictures because it harks back to my first Kodak Brownie camera, which took medium format square photos - and is already popular for retro-style apps like Instagram on a tablet or smartphone. It's Eye-Fi compatible, so you can upload images without removing your memory card or using a cable. It also has a fun auto panorama mode that lets you create in-camera panoramas by rotating the camera. It also takes good underwater pictures and has a higher depth rating than some of its competitors in the same price range. With a large number of megapixels, you can create high-quality large prints or have more options for cropping unwanted areas. What I don't like: A blurry-looking view that's hard to see in bright light, and the lack of an optical viewfinder to compensate. Second, some of the paint has peeled off the silver handle, which is plastic. Third, the battery life is average. This requires a small proprietary battery. All in all, a good secondary camera for the money if you don't want to take a more expensive camera with you in all weathers. I got it for a good price. I recommend having a spare battery and making sure you're fully charged if you're going into a humid environment. If you need to change your camera's battery on the go, make sure it's dry, your hands are dry and there is no sand anywhere before opening the battery compartment as this could damage your camera. All in all I would buy this camera again and even consider upgrading to their model with Wi-Fi, GPS and HD video.
