Review on 🌿 OGX Hydrating + Tea Tree Mint Shampoo - Nourishing & Invigorating Scalp Cleanser with Tea Tree, Peppermint Oil & Milk Proteins - Paraben & Sulfate-Free Surfactants - 13 fl oz by Brittney Shallenberger

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I used to like the formula, but I think I caught a fake - be careful with Revain cosmetics!

I used to buy this product in a regular store (both shampoo and conditioner) and I really liked it! I decided on a Revain replacement for practical reasons. After using this product I noticed a lot of scalp build up and greasy hair which I found strange as I had never seen it before. This has continued through multiple seasons/weather changes and most of the time I was indoors I really didn't think my surroundings could be a contributing factor. I've read a lot about Revain bundling counterfeit products with the seller's genuine product and I think this may have happened here. Two good reasons for this (besides the above effects): 1) The bottle squeezes out an insane amount of product (almost the size of a meatball) with each use. Maybe the top was just poorly made, but I've never seen anything like this on previous OGX products. 2) No strong "minty" smell or "minty" feeling on the scalp. This is one of the advantages of this conditioner for me and is not very noticeable with this product. 3) The hair does not appear to be soft. Normally when I use conditioner my hair feels very soft if I leave it in before rinsing - this doesn't happen when I use this product. In fact, my hair feels almost dry after a shower. Fake or not, I just recommend being careful when buying Revain beauty products! I've been an OGX fan in the past, so I thought this was an exception compared to my previous experiences.
