Review on Hi-Res Philips Fidelio L2BO Over-ear Premium Portable Headphones with In-line Mic, Noise Isolation - Black/Orange by Mariana Vasquez

This porridge is amazing!

Possibly the best headphones I've ever owned. I mean the previous ones weren't a match but I still use my Superlux HD661 with my little amp and it works wonders. While they are by far my first choice for ALL music listeners at home, I wouldn't recommend using them outdoors unless you're walking around in a noisy place as they can get quite leaky at higher volumes. So far I've found the classics to be adequate, nothing by Tchaikovsky sounded bad, although I felt there were a few things missing that I can't explain technically (which is quite interesting to learn). The bass is also ok, if you really like bass I would stay away from it, but too much bass is terrible anyway. For me it would be spot on if it was a bowl of oatmeal, the bass isn't overwhelming at all like the Sol Republic pair I've had. The bass on these things bored me. Off topic, but almost everything about these damn things sounds good. On my little FiiO amp, the EQ helps a lot by adding some "power" to the bass (highly recommended if you're just starting out with headphones, the FiiO A1). In conclusion, I can 100% recommend these headphones. If you could get them on Black Friday that would be perfect but I think they are worth the money spent it's just that I would suggest getting a guarantee on insurance. ;)
